InnoMatSyn aims to support and catalyze coordination of advanced/innovative materials (AdMa) stakeholders, funding bodies and initiatives at regional, national and European levels. Running from March 2025 – February 2028, the project will provide an interconnected materials ecosystem, AI-based knowledge repository, technology leakage risk assessment, and support for joint funding calls.
InnoMatSyn will develop an artificial intelligence dynamic repository (AI-DR) tool to collect and share existing project results and knowledge wtihin the AdMa ecosystem. This will lead to accelerated development, scale-up and production of AdMa in Europe.
InnoMatSyn will engage with funding bodies/agencies to identify gaps and align goals regarding AdMa across regions in Europe. We will identify and improve synergies between regional, national and EU funding of AdMa initiatives.
InnoMatSyn will connect players across the European AdMa innovation ecosystem. We will facilitate cross-sectoral collaborations connecting diverse stakeholders.
InnoMatSyn will develop a strategy to assess criticality and protect sensitive innovations in Europe. We will contribute to enhanced strategies for mitigating technology leakage risks across European Member States.
Advanced/innovative materials, or “AdMa” for short, are described by the European Union as “engineered materials with innovative properties and functionalities”. Furthermore, the working description of the OECD is used to differentiate AdMa from other materials.
