On 25 June 2026, InnoMatSyn hosted its first Meet & Greet Session with AdMa Funders and Decision-makers, bringing together representatives of national and regional funding organisations from across Europe for an open exchange on advanced materials (AdMa) funding priorities, collaboration opportunities and future joint programming.
Facilitated by APRE, the online session marked the beginning of a long-term engagement process with funding bodies interested in contributing to a stronger and more coordinated European Advanced Materials ecosystem. The event created a dedicated space for participants to connect with peers, exchange experiences and discuss how InnoMatSyn can support strategic cooperation ahead of future European and national funding initiatives.
The session opened with an overview of the InnoMatSyn project, highlighting key achievements to date, such as the development of a strategic Roadmap Towards Future Joint Calls, ecosystem mapping activities, community-building events and tools designed to facilitate collaboration across the AdMa landscape.
Then, around 20 representatives from around 10 countries introduced their organisations and areas of expertise, with a focus on specific funding programmes implemented at the national level. They engaged in an interactive discussion on emerging funding priorities and key AdMa application sectors, while also sharing their unique perspective on the common challenges and opportunities of joint programming.
Overall, the Meet & Greet session confirmed the strong interest among funding bodies in establishing a continuous dialogue, exchange practices and experiences, and explore future collaboration opportunities. The InnoMatSyn consortium will continue this engagement process through dedicated workshops, peer exchanges and co-creation activities, ensuring that funding organisations remain active contributors to shaping the future of Advanced Materials research and innovation in Europe.
