The EIT Manufacturing West office is located in San Sebastian, in northern Spain close to the French border, in the historical building of Miramar Palace. Born in Dec 2019 and operating since May 2020, the EIT Manufacturing West region team works with entrepreneurs, start-ups, scale-ups, universities, research organizations, small, medium and large companies to drive manufacturing innovation in Spain, France and Portugal.
EIT Manufacturing has a large presence in this region which is one of the strongest industrialized areas in Europe. Specifically, the community brings together 40+ partners and collaborates with 20+ top clusters and manufacturing associations.
We are already accredited as an association of scientific interest by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Foundation for Science and Technology, and we intend to be recognized as a technology platform, too.
NANOMAT will thus accelerate science and innovation, promote job creation in the area, foster competitiveness and contribute to the decarbonization of society. The external impact – namely European – can also be expected to attract international talent, respond to the European Union’s political priorities and internationalize Portuguese products.
Responsible for designing and implementing the technology leakage risk assessment strategy for AdMa. This includes conducting surveys among funded projects, transforming results into actionable guidelines, and disseminating findings through webinars.
